Sarah Jane Adventures "Fridays"
Well she's back and she now on Friday nights on Sci-Fi channel! The Invasion of the Bane was U.S. premiered last week and had amount of reviews to follow after that. The one interesting review in of the websites that follow called: has a reviewed kind of mixed. You have to go to the website itself and use your own opinion to judged yourself to the review. Over Kill Nuns of Kink!
Well, it's me again! I haven't written over several weeks since the "The Sarah Jane Adventures" came out last month. Now, it's two stories down and another story came out yesterday called Warriors of Kudlak - Part One is now out and I thought it would be good time to give some small information about the show itself, well maybe.
For starters it's all about a little 14 year old girl from across the street of Bannerman Road, lives a strange old lady called Sarah Jane Smith who used to be the Doctor's Ex-companion who done time and space especially in space!! Sarah main target for this kids show about aliens, kinky Nuns of Mercy and three strange teenagers have nothing to do but kicking ass of nuns and bad-ass aliens from hell! Now you got it? Good! So bugger off!!!

Sarah Jane Smith, investigative journalist and former companion to The Doctor, is back in a brand-new CBBC drama from the makers of Doctor Who. And in the first two-part story of the series she faces some familiar alien enemies of The Doctor as the Slitheen are back and out for revenge...
On their first day at their new school Maria and Luke soon realise that all is not as it seems. There's a funny smell, the food keeps going off, the teachers keep farting and the new technology block is hiding some dark secrets.
With their suspicions aroused, Sarah Jane, Maria and Luke set about investigating, joined by their new friend Clyde. They soon discover that the Slitheen have disguised themselves as teachers as part of a deadly plan which threatens the future of the Earth.
But as Maria, Luke and Clyde become trapped in the new technology block in the clutches of the Slitheen and with Sarah Jane under attack from another of the alien monsters, will the gang be able to stop the Slitheen before it's too late?
Sarah Jane Smith is played by Elisabeth Sladen, who also starred as Sarah Jane in the Seventies Doctor Who series as a companion to the third and fourth Doctors. Maria Jackson, Sarah Jane's neighbour and sidekick, is played by Yasmin Paige. More Sarah Jane News!
Sorry about that! I haven't been writing so much about the new show comming out to CBBC is the "Sarah Jane Adventures". I been writing to Outpost Gallifrey web fourms for several days and nights and I get lots of Sarah Jane news comming out their ears! Well, if I have any news comming out of the wood-works, I'll post on this site. Anyway, I must get back to info diggings for now! So wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!!

President Bush is urging Congress to let the CIA keep using "alternative" interrogation procedures -- which include, according to published accounts, forcing prisoners to stand for 40 hours, depriving them of sleep and use of the "cold cell," in which the prisoner is left naked in a cell kept near 50 degrees and doused with cold water.
Bush insists that these techniques are not torture -- after all, they don't involve pulling out fingernails or applying electric shocks. He even says that he "would hope" the standards he's proposing are adopted by other countries. But before he again invites America's enemies to use such "alternative" methods on captured Americans, he might benefit from knowing a bit of their historical origins and from hearing accounts of those who have experienced them. With that in mind, here are some suggestions for the president's reading list.
He might begin with Robert Conquest's classic work on Stalin, "The Great Terror." Conquest wrote: "When there was time, the basic [Soviet Secret police] method for obtaining confessions and breaking the accused man was the 'conveyor' -- continual interrogation by relays of police for hours and days on end. As with many phenomena of the Stalin period, it has the advantage that it could not easily be condemned by any simple principle. Clearly, it amounted to unfair pressure after a certain time and to actual physical torture later still, but when? . . . At any rate, after even twelve hours, it is extremely uncomfortable. After a day, it becomes very hard. And after two or three days, the victim is actually physically poisoned by fatigue. It was as painful as any torture."
Conquest stated: "Interrogation usually took place at night and with the accused just roused -- often only fifteen minutes after going to sleep. The glaring lights at the interrogation had a disorientating effect." He quoted a Czech prisoner, Evzen Loebl, who described "having to be on his feet eighteen hours a day, sixteen of which were devoted to interrogation. During the six-hour sleep period, the warder pounded on the door every ten minutes. . . . If the banging did not wake him, a kick from the warder would. After two or three weeks, his feet were swollen and every inch of his body ached at the slightest touch; even washing became a torture."
Conquest quoted a Polish prisoner, Z. Stypulkowski, from 1945: "Cold, hunger, the bright light and especially sleeplessness. The cold is not terrific. But when the victim is weakened by hunger and sleeplessness, then the six or seven degrees above the freezing point make him tremble all the time. . . . After fifty or sixty interrogations with cold and hunger and almost no sleep, a man becomes like an automaton -- his eyes are bright, his legs swollen, his hands trembling. In this state, he is often convinced he is guilty."
Next on the list: Aleksander Solzhenitsyn's "The Gulag Archipelago." Solzhenitsyn describes the experience of prisoner Anna Skripnikova in 1952: "Sivakov, Chief of the Investigative Department of the Ordzhonikidze State Security Administration, said to her: 'The prison doctor reports you have a blood pressure of 240/120. That's too low, you bitch! We're going to drive it up to 340 so you'll kick the bucket, you viper, and with no black and blue marks; no beatings; no broken bones. We'll just not let you sleep.' And if, back in her cell, after a night spent in interrogation, she closed her eyes during the day, the jailer broke in and shouted: 'Open your eyes or I'll haul you off that cot by the legs and tie you to the wall standing up."
Elsewhere, Solzhenitsyn writes: "Sleeplessness . . . befogs the reason, undermines the will, and the human being ceases to be himself, to be his own 'I.' "
Finally, the president might review the memoirs of former Israeli prime minister Menachem Begin, who describes experiencing sleep deprivation in a Soviet prison in the 1940s: "In the head of the interrogated prisoner a haze begins to form. His spirit is wearied to death, his legs are unsteady, and he has one sole desire: to sleep, to sleep just a little, not to get up, to lie, to rest, to forget. . . . Anyone who has experienced this desire knows that not even hunger or thirst are comparable with it. . . . I came across prisoners who signed what they were ordered to sign, only to get what the interrogator promised them. He did not promise them their liberty. He promised them -- if they signed -- uninterrupted sleep!"
The Soviets understood that these methods were cruel. They were also honest with themselves about the purpose of such cruelty -- to brutalize their enemies and to extract false confessions, rather than truthful intelligence. By denying this, President Bush is not just misleading us. He appears to be deceiving himself.

PRESIDENT BUSH made crystal clear Friday that he has one overriding concern about the legislation on foreign detainees before Congress. His "one test," he said, was whether Congress would authorize what he repeatedly called "the program" -- that is, the CIA's network of secret prisons and its brutal treatment of the people in them. "Congress has got a decision to make," Mr. Bush declared during a news conference. "Do you want the program to go forward or not?"
That is indeed the most important question before Congress and the nation. So allow us to elaborate, again, exactly what Mr. Bush means by "the program." He's talking about the practice of sequestering terrorist suspects indefinitely and without charge in secret foreign locations and holding them incommunicado even from the International Red Cross. Until recently, such "disappearances" were the signature of Third World dictatorships. U.S. adoption of them has roiled relations with our closest European allies and impeded collaboration with foreign police and intelligence services.
Mr. Bush also wants the CIA to be able to treat its detainees to such practices as "cold cell," or induced hypothermia, in which detainees are held naked in near-freezing temperatures and repeatedly doused with water; "long standing," in which prisoners are handcuffed in an uncomfortable standing position and forced to remain there for up to 40 hours; and prolonged sleep deprivation.
Throughout the world and for decades, such practices have been called torture. That's what the United States called them when they were used by the Soviet KGB. As the president himself tacitly acknowledges, they violate Geneva and other international conventions as well as current U.S. law. News that the United States has used these techniques -- as well as waterboarding, an ancient torture technique that simulates drowning -- has gravely damaged U.S. standing in the world and the fight against terrorism. It increases the danger that captured U.S. servicemen will be exposed to similar treatment by nations that might otherwise feel obliged to respect the Geneva standards.
When Mr. Bush was asked Friday whether he wasn't in effect seeking sanction for torture, he responded with an evasion. He claimed that the Geneva Conventions' Common Article 3 is "very vague" and that his proposal would provide "clarity" for CIA professionals. In fact, the opposite is true.
Common Article 3, which prohibits cruel treatment and humiliation, is an inflexible standard. The U.S. military, which lived with it comfortably for decades before the Bush administration, just reembraced it after a prolonged battle with the White House. The Army issued a thick manual this month that tells interrogators exactly what they can and cannot do in complying with the standard. The nation's most respected military leaders have said that they need and want nothing more to accomplish the mission of detaining and interrogating enemy prisoners -- and that harsher methods would be counterproductive.
Mr. Bush wants to replace these clear rules with a flexible and subjective standard -- one that would legalize any method that does not "shock the conscience." What shocks the conscience? According to Mr. Bush's Justice Department, the torture techniques described above -- and at least in the past, waterboarding -- do not, "in certain circumstances." So Mr. Bush's real objection to Common Article 3 is not that it is vague. It is that it will not permit abusive practices that he isn't willing publicly to discuss or defend.
Rather than admit that he wants to legalize disappearances and torture, Mr. Bush ominously warns that "the program" won't continue unless Congress passes his bill. He says "time's running out," even though it's not. There are no detainees in the CIA prisons at the moment, according to the president, and the only clock running out is that measuring the midterm election campaign. There is no need for Congress to act in the next two weeks. But if it does, the clear answer to Mr. Bush's question, endorsed by Sen. John W. Warner (R-Va.), Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), former secretary of state Colin L. Powell and a host of other responsible Republican and military leaders, is "no." For both moral and practical reasons, the country should reject this fundamental violation of its principles.

So It's All True!
Yep! You got this right so far. It's all true about Lis Sladen having a new show called "The Sarah Jane Adventures": New CBBC spin-off announced.
Russell T Davies has created The Sarah Jane Adventures, a brand new series for CBBC.
Set in present-day West London, the programme stars Elisabeth Sladen, continuing her much-loved role as Sarah Jane Smith.
Yasmin Paige will join her as Sarah's 13-year-old neighbour Maria.
A 60-minute special which will be broadcast in early 2007, with a series following later in the year.
In the special, Sarah and Maria form an unlikely alliance to fight evil alien forces at work in Britain, and against the scheming Ms Wormwood, played by Samantha Bond.
"I left Sarah Jane but she never left me," said Elisabeth. "I can't wait to return to Cardiff (where filming is based) to find out what's going to happen to her next."
"Children's TV has a fine history of fantasy thrillers," added Russell T Davies. "I loved them as a kid, and they were the very first things I ever wrote. So it's brilliant to return to such a vivid and imaginative area of television."
Filming on the special, written by Russell and Gareth Roberts, begins next month. It will be directed by Colin Teague and produced by Susie Liggat. The full series goes into production in spring 2007.

Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies is to bring back one of the Doctor's most famous companions for a new children's TV series.
The Sarah Jane Adventures on CBBC will star Elisabeth Sladen, who played Sarah Jane Smith opposite Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker between 1973 and 1976.
The series kicks off with a one-hour special early next year.
A third series of Davies' Doctor Who is due to air in spring 2007, following a Christmas special this year.
Sarah Jane's Adventures will feature the investigative journalist fighting alien forces with help from her 13-year-old neighbour Maria, played by Yasmin Paige.
"Children's TV has a fine history of fantasy thrillers - I loved them as a kid, and they were the very first things I ever wrote. So it's brilliant to return to such a vivid and imaginative area of television," said Davies.
Actress Sladen, who appeared in a 2006 Doctor Who episode with tenth Doctor David Tennant, said she was looking forward to reprising her role.

Russell T Davies has created The Sarah Jane Adventures, a brand new series for CBBC.
Set in present-day West London, the programme stars Elisabeth Sladen, continuing her much-loved role as Sarah Jane Smith.
Yasmin Paige will join her as Sarah's 13-year-old neighbour Maria.
A 60-minute special which will be broadcast in early 2007, with a series following later in the year.
In the special, Sarah and Maria form an unlikely alliance to fight evil alien forces at work in Britain, and against the scheming Ms Wormwood, played by Samantha Bond.
"I left Sarah Jane but she never left me," said Elisabeth. "I can't wait to return to Cardiff (where filming is based) to find out what's going to happen to her next."
"Children's TV has a fine history of fantasy thrillers," added Russell T Davies. "I loved them as a kid, and they were the very first things I ever wrote. So it's brilliant to return to such a vivid and imaginative area of television."
Filming on the special, written by Russell and Gareth Roberts, begins next month. It will be directed by Colin Teague and produced by Susie Liggat. The full series goes into production in spring 2007.

Doctor Who writer Russell T Davies is to bring back one of the Doctor's most famous companions for a new children's TV series.
The Sarah Jane Adventures on CBBC will star Elisabeth Sladen, who played Sarah Jane Smith opposite Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker between 1973 and 1976.
The series kicks off with a one-hour special early next year.
A third series of Davies' Doctor Who is due to air in spring 2007, following a Christmas special this year.
Sarah Jane's Adventures will feature the investigative journalist fighting alien forces with help from her 13-year-old neighbour Maria, played by Yasmin Paige.

Actress Sladen, who appeared in a 2006 Doctor Who episode with tenth Doctor David Tennant, said she was looking forward to reprising her role.

The Count down For "School Reunion" Is Right Now!
Hi again! I'm back and writing this blog for the very first time in months. This time is Lis Sladen's is comming back on TV for Doctor Who. Not as easy as you please but, it will do the job for now. But, talking about this show you may get to see the show in Great Britain instead of the USA for now! They will show it somewhere in the near future after the first season of Doctor Who on Sci-Fi channel be done. It kind of excitting to should all the first Doctor Who Season on Sci-Fi with Chris Eccleston and Billie Piper as the 'Doctor' and 'Rose'.
In the UK the current 'Doctor' is played by actor David Tennant. With this going on, I hope this one will be a winner!!! So let the count-down begain!!!

The "Rose" Review!
Ok, so you want to know about the new Doctor Who story? Well, it seems we have picked up since 1996 from the last T.V. movie of Doctor Who. To begain with the new story was Rose, not that it a Doctor story but, a companion story as well! You might like the special effects and has very good plot to spot! It all started about a young woman name Rose who had lived in London worked in a department store and datting a whimply guy named {I forgot his name is!) well, you cannot blamed me forgetting his name! So on to the story, it seems like Rose would go down the basement and have a chat with her boss. But when she came down, she find the door was locked so she tried to knok on it. But there's no anwer and we find Rose very nervous about this place. So she went to this other door and went inside which has a very long corrdor that goes forever! Well, for Rose, she put on the lights and decide to look around this place. All of the sudden this dummy started to move and went up to Rose who was looking for someone to answer. As Rose about to turned around, she saw so many dummies starting moving and was going after one person: Rose!
Rose was had her back to the wall when all the suddenly a hand grab her by the wrist and started to run for her life. The recurer is a tall thin man who called himself the Doctor wears a leather jacket,black jeans and a V-neck jumper. As he took Rose to safety he told her what he is and tell her run for life. As she started to run, she saw the bulding where she worked has exploded to bits. After that Rose went home and was comforted by her mother and her whimpy boyfriend (which I forgot!)his name is! She told her boyfriend to throw this dummy arm out of the trash bin as promise. So he did as he told and went home to his flat. Back to the story after all this excitment, Rose woke up next morning have her breakfast and there a strange sratch in the catflap and saw the Doctor's head looking strait at her! He say hello and Rose grab the Doctor into the flat. Doctor first look at Rose's mom who tried to seduced him but look other way. His interest was a dummy arm which started to attack the Doctor first while Rose was in the kichen making tea! As Rose came out of the kitchen saw the Doctor was attack by a hand of fear and it decided to go after Rose instead! The Doctor took out his sonice-screwdriver and zap the dummy hand of fear to death!
So you know the rest of the story but to make it a SPOILER you have to find out in the other reviews on Doctor Who websites! A friend of a friend of mine has taped this show but for one story only has let go from his work place! I got this tape from this comic-book store in Malden (New England Comics. Which the owner named Jim who happens to like the new Doctor Who story with great gusto and lot of people who also saw the first episode liked it! Well, I'm going to say this once and for all: I love it! Great story plot, the actors Chris Eccleston and Billie Piper are first rate and it is very funny at the sense where all this going on! Sometimes serious and very meanfully about time and space lines when the Doctor explained to Rose.
The Doctor Who which I grew up in the late 70's and early 80's with Tom Baker and Lis Sladen is still in me! Now we got this new genration of Doctor Who fans from England, has Chris Eccleston and Billie Piper as the carryers of the torch 21st century! Too Bad that Chris is leaving the first season after the show was off the ground! Because he's afraid of type-casting so I don't the rest of it! But, you have asked for it! O.K.?
